Molkom Film - Creating & Producing
Film – Creating & Producing is a two-year international film program focused on storytelling and production. Storytelling is what makes us human. Undoubtedly one of the catalyst behind change. Be the change!
At Molkom Film – Creating & Producing, we believe that storytelling is the force that drives us forward, sparking transitions and igniting change. Storytelling is a defining feature of humanity, and at the core of every transformation is a narrative waiting to be told. Our program, “Creating & Producing,” is built around this powerful idea. It’s about more than learning how to tell stories—it’s about producing change and becoming the change.
A New Paradigm in Filmmaking
Our education is designed around “Learning by Doing,” where the focus is on practical, hands-on experience. You will create new narratives that challenge the status quo, using fiction as a medium to explore uncharted territory, and discovering your unique creative DNA from day one. On the education we highlight learning experiences through internal processes for personal growth.
Sustainable Productions
We emphasize sustainable productions, with a strong focus on group dynamics, communication, work ethics, and risk assessment. As you navigate the complexities of working in a team, you’ll develop essential soft skills such as collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving. This holistic approach ensures that you’re not only learning the technical aspects of filmmaking but also the human elements that drive successful productions.
A Structured Journey of Creation
Our course structure is divided into parallel processes, blending traditional storytelling with innovative, modern narratives and tech. You will also focus on understanding your team’s DNA and building a cohesive story through team building exercises. The program is project-based and categorized into 4 different acts:
- Act 1: Create a 1-minute film with a small crew
- Act 2: Produce a 10-minute film with a mid-sized crew
- Act 3: Collaborate on a 20-minute group film
- The epilogue: This is your personal project, where you can break free from the rules and explore your vision with no restrictions.
Transforming Filmmakers, Shaping New Narratives
The goal of our education is transformation. You will not only grow as a storyteller but also evolve into a problem-solver and producer. Your journey will be supported by the Molkom community and the unique context of the Molkom area, fostering personal growth in an inclusive environment. You’ll learn the academic rules of filmmaking and, just as importantly, when and how to break them.
Study Film Production with a Global Perspective
Our program has international admission, so all teaching is conducted in English. In the first year, you’ll take a study trip to the New Films Festival in Portugal, and in the second year, you’ll be a part in an exchange project which includes traveling to Lucca, Italy. This gives you the chance to experience film production through diverse cultures and perspectives, and to be a part of a worldwide community of filmmakers.
Be the Change
Storytelling isn’t just about telling stories—it’s about being the catalyst for change. At Molkom Film, we encourage you to be the change you want to see in the world. From wanting to change, discovering the change, and ultimately being the change, you’ll leave our program as a new filmmaker, ready to produce the future and create narratives that inspire transformation.
Join us, and start producing the stories that will shape tomorrow.

With this setup, you’ll work with ICVFX (In-Camera Visual Effects), green screens, projections, and Motion Capture. Collaboration with the acting program and tools like AI and Unreal Engine support you in creating complex virtual worlds in 3D and 2.5D.
Collaboration with Actors and the Film Community
At the education you’ll network with industry professionals and collaborate across disciplines. Working closely with Film i Region Värmland, we organize lectures and networking events. Many of our film projects are created in collaboration with our acting education and fostering a rich environment for creative development.
As part of the international Film School Network (FSN), we participate in global exchanges, and our program is a member of the Scen & Film union, keeping you connected with industry standards and opportunities. As an alumni of our education you’re qualified of becoming a member of Scen & Film.
